Admins can add a waiting period to flexible PTO policies.
A waiting period will prevent an employee from accruing PTO hours until after the waiting period is over. Employees can still request PTO, and if approved and taken, their PTO balance will go into the negative.
A waiting period can be anywhere from 1-365 days from the employee's start date on record.
